Arlene Meraux River Observation Center

The Meraux Foundation unveiled the Arlene Meraux River Observation Center (AMROC) this summer. The four-story educational facility features a classroom, community meeting spaces, and a fifth-floor observation deck overlooking the Mighty Mississippi. The state-of-the-art, environmentally-friendly building’s proximity to the river make AMROC the perfect setting for educational programs and professional development.

The building marks the latest enhancement to the 130 acre Docville Farm that the Foundation dedicated to charity as a center for culture and learning. The multi-purpose river center will expand the Foundation’s capacity to host charitable events, community meetings, and festivals. AMROC is another positive step as the family Foundation continues working to carry out its namesake’s wish to improve the quality of life for the people of St. Bernard Parish.
